Yes, you read that right, High School Musical 4 is coming to our screens.
If you were a child in the mid 2000's then you've been waiting 15 years for this. High School Musical was a an all singing and dancing movie, released on Disney Channel, in 2006. The film was extremely successful, with hits from the show reaching the Billboard Music Charts. The film was so successful that they released 2 more sequels in 2007 and 2008.
The movie both started and skyrocketed the careers of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens (the two main characters, Troy and Gabriella). Zac Efron has since went on to star in many highly rated movies, and has become a well-known actor. Zac has starred in movies such as 'Dirty Grandpa', 'Hairspray', the remake of 'Baywatch', 'Bad Neighbours' and 'The Greatest Showman'. All movies which have topped the film charts. Other successful characters from the film include Ashley Tisdale, who starred in 'The Sweet Life of Zac and Cody' before she starred in 'High School Musical'. Ashley has since went on to star in and produce more films and shows, as well as being a panelist on American TV shows.
The 4th installment of the movie franchise is set to be shown on Disney+, with the show confirming the return of original actors who played Troy's dad, couple Chad and Monique, and others. The show has not confirmed the return of Vanessa and Zac, however, both of them have posted recent photos on their Instagram showing them outside of the famous high school.
